The Solar Eclipse is occurring in the sign of Taurus in the Nakshatra of Mrigashira. Below is an image of its path of visibility- hitting mostly the north east of the USA, most of Canada and Europe.
Solar Eclipses, like Lunar eclipses, are inauspicious events in the material world. Solar Eclipses have the egos of men and governments of nations naturally feeling bloated with egotism or arrogance. They feel confident or overzealous about things. But what abouts? Taurus is naturally a comfort & luxury loving sign, stubborn, and earthy. Connecting this feeling of ego to how much luxury we are experiencing in our own lives- our sense of self deeply entangled with material wealth and physical beauty, all being different luxuries. The biggest comfort that is getting highlighted is our comfort level at home, the items we wear, the places we lounge, the food we eat, the drinks we drink(Alcoholism and heart problems are a big theme this month.). We may find ourselves investing too much into these areas of life. The planet of business, finance, and trade, Mercury is Retrograde next to the Sun, Rahu and Moon in Taurus for the Eclipse. This makes this combination of luxury around financial propositions. Buying homes, buying liquor, buying more and more luxury items, beauty product brands, tequila companies, real estate. Or at least we try. Are these smart financial decisions? This convergence, makes for a bad business match and frustrations overtaking the homelife sucking happiness away- because things may not be happening the way 'you want' them. Mars is debilitated in the sign of 'home and happiness' until the end of July, so we may see with home building a return to more brick structures, but definitely a sense of frustration around not getting what makes us happy. We may find deals, but be skeptical of the technical side of the purchase.
This is all happening to inspire a direct look at our attachments to luxury items of wealth, food, women etc., as ways to feel a sense of temporary fulfillment in life. We acquit success with having monetary wealth to acquire an unending list of luxuries, to perpetuate a life of luxury. The government and our own egos is attached to our ever consuming patterns to keep us afloat.
Jupiter will Retrograde June 20th to give a boost of wealth, but will move back into its sign of Debilitation in the Fall, this may signal a deflation.
